IRS Continues Saturday Hours During Tax Season

The IRS will continue to offer in-person help to taxpayers on specific Saturdays in 2024. This is a continuation of expanded services offered to enhance the taxpayer experience. No appointment is necessary during the special Saturday hours, but not all Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) are open.

Dates and Times for Saturday Hours in 2024:

Services offered will include:

  • Online Account Assistance
  • Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) Renewal
  • IRS Identity Theft Victim Assistance
  • Payments (no cash payments)
  • Refunds
  • Transcripts and Forms

If you plan to visit a TAC, be certain to take the following items:

  • Current government-issued photo ID
  • Social Security numbers for all members of your household (including yourself)
  • Any IRS letters, notices or related documentation
  • Second form of ID if requesting identity verification services
  • Current mailing address
  • Proof of bank account to receive payments or refunds via Direct Deposit
