Delta Sigma Pi and Wouch Maloney
On November 16, 2022, Adrienne Straccione, CPA, Partner at Wouch Maloney, was a member of the speaker panel hosted by Drexel University’s Delta Sigma Pi – Omega Chi Chapter. The meeting provided members, who also attend the LeBow School of Business, an opportunity to have a Q&A with Philadelphia professionals about career paths, opportunities in various industries and what employers are seeking in new hires.
Questions for the Panel
For many attendees, while they were not accounting majors, they did know the importance and value of accounting and the role it plays in business and life. Whether they are future entrepreneurs, business owners, investors or employee, taking one or two accounting courses is beneficial for all students. Adrienne provided real life examples of understanding the nuances of accounting for specific industries, services or trades; how tax planning plays an important role before starting or selling a business; and the need to hire reputable firms and advisors.
