4th Annual Halloween Costume Contest and Community Service

The 4th annual Halloween Costume Contest took place earlier today at the Horsham office of Wouch Maloney CPAs & Business Advisors! With the last tax deadline behind us, it was time to have a little fun while helping regional nonprofits.

This year, our Helps/community service committee selected multiple charities to support including Mitzvah CircleCamp Out for Hunger 2023 for Philabundance and the Alzheimer’s Association. We are walking, collecting gently used and new clothing, collecting food, and donating money to support these worthy causes.

In return, our team members compete for bragging rights, and a trophy, during the annual event. This year, the competition was fierce. We had two Bob Ross impersonators, Sasquatch, Gritty, Wonder Woman, an inmate from a state penitentiary and many more characters vying for 1st place.

After our official auditor counted the votes, the employees who took home the 2023 trophies were:

  • Most Original: Brandon Landis, CPA, CVA, MAcc, as Milburn “Rich Uncle” Pennybags of Monopoly fame
  • Scariest: Mark J. Cieri, CPA, CVA, CGMA, as Michael Myers
  • Most Comedic: Michael Berboth as a referee
  • Best Overall: Iliana Gonzalez as the Bride of Frankenstein
  • Best Homemade Costume: Abe Shahswar, CPA, as a tax accountant
  • Most Unexpected: Alex Barre as Goku Black

The winners!
