New Jersey Minimum Wage Increase on July 1, 2019

New Jersey will be raising its minimum wage effective Monday July 1 of this year to $10.00 per hour and increasing by $1.00 on each January 1 reaching the $15.00 minimum wage on January 1, 2024.

The phase-in runs through January 1, 2026 for seasonal employees and employers with five or less employees. Agricultural workers will see their minimum wage rise to $12.50 per hour as of January 1, 2024 with the potential for a raise to $15.00 per hour by January 1, 2027.
