Team Wouch Maloney Walked (Virtually) To End Epilepsy
The Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania transformed their annual Walk to End Epilepsy from an in person walk to a virtual walk in order to comply with social distancing measures associated with the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. Team Wouch Maloney accepted the challenge to participate in the first Virtual Walk to END EPILEPSY with over 80% participation from the firm.
The importance of participating in this walk was shared by team member Gertrude Wouch who wrote “Epilepsy is in my family. My daughter had it at age 5, my nephew had it at age 15, and my other nephew got it at age 7.”
Many inspiring posts were written on the Wouch Maloney team page. Click here to read all posts from our team.
The walk took place from June 14 – 20, 2020. The Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley chapters raised over $85,000 and are still accepting donations.
Congratulations to all participants. We agree with team member Christine Nelson’s post, “Together we can make a difference.”
