Philadelphia, PA – July 2011 – Michele L. Klach, CPA, staff accountant at the cpa firm of Wouch, Maloney & Co., LLP, will be a volunteer speaker on July 8, 2011 for the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) as part of its program entitled “Financial Literacy for Students.” The event will be held at Thomas Jefferson University. The goal of this event, a joint effort of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the Philadelphia Youth Network, is to promote financial literacy skills in students entering the workforce.
Klach’s audience will be high school students who have enrolled in a summer internship program called “Mad about Money, a Financial Literacy Program.” Her talk will be practical in nature and will help the students to identify their financial goals and create their own budgets.
“I welcome the opportunity to use the accounting skills I have gained as an accountant to help students learn the much-needed skills of budgeting and setting financial goals.”
Klach is a staff accountant with the accounting firm of Wouch, Maloney & Co., LLP and is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
