Horsham, PA - September, 2009 - Wouch, Maloney & Co., LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey D. Helphrey, CPA of Conshohocken, PA, a senior staff accountant with Wouch, Maloney & Co., LLP, has earned the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) through the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). Requirements to earn this designation include maintaining current licensure as a Certified Public Accountant and completing NACVA's comprehensive training program and subsequent examination.

The skills of a CVA are most often required in conjunction with the purchase or sale of a business, succession planning, buy-sell agreements, charitable contributions, estate and gift taxes, and initial public offerings. In the litigation support arena, valuations are often needed in situations of business disruption, dissenting shareholder actions, divorce, and partner or shareholder disputes.
Helphrey joined Wouch, Maloney & Co., LLP in 2004. He has a wide range of responsibilities at the firm, including tax preparation and compliance for individuals, partnerships and corporations. As a CVA, he will continue to concentrate on litigation support, particularly in matters involving dispute resolution. Helphrey is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
